Tibbett Logistics specialises in these major market sectors...
Tibbett Logistics provides specialised contract logistics services for automotive manufacturers and suppliers. These include parts distribution, factory warehouse operations and off-site warehousing. We also provide added-value services such as finished product inspection, sub-assembly and supplier- and customer-specific packing/containerisation.
We control the inbound flow of components from overseas suppliers receiving and sorting product, providing quality inspection and scheduling deliveries into customers’ factories. A number of overseas suppliers have also established offices within our automotive warehousing facilities.
We provide vendor managed inventory (VMI) support operating factory warehouses inside our customers’ plants, as well as managing the external stock and pre-assembly coordination of component parts from our customers’ suppliers. In the factory warehouses we manage stock and control the flow of components on to the assembly line. We also retrieve finished goods for transport to the external warehouse and organise their delivery to vehicle production plants across Europe and worldwide.
Our automotive customers include Honeywell Garrett, Sumitomo Electric Wiring Systems Limited (SEWS), Draexlmaier, Castec, Wuxi and NWS.
A large proportion of Tibbett Logistics’ warehousing and distribution operations are for the retail sector. These focus on the food & grocery and non-food FMCG merchandise.
Each retail distribution centre holds between 10,000 and 35,000 pallets, and is controlled by a sophisticated warehouse management system (WMS) with radio-frequency (RF) communications technology. Often we find that we not only manage customers’ inbound freight and complete customs/transit formalities, but also operate the rail terminal, destuff containers, run the bonded warehouse, provide added-value/remedial processes, and undertake store deliveries.
We are pioneers in the use of rail transport and intermodal (road-rail) operations in Romania and South East Europe offering retailers environmental benefits, reduced costs and high levels of reliability, transparency, quality and security.
We also offer co-packing/contract packing and co-manufacturing/contract manufacturing services for retailers’ dry food and grocery products. We provide complete international supply chain management services, and are skilled in the rapid implementation of new projects.
We have supported major retailers with nationwide dedicated, multi-user and multi-temperature logistics services under contract since 2004. Retail customers include Auchan, Leroy Merlin and Metro Cash & Carry.
Tibbett Logistics offers technology-driven B2B and B2C e-commerce support/e-retail services including order control, payment processing, warehousing, pick & pack and customer delivery. Customers can select the full package, or just the elements they need to combine with existing operations.
Considerable technical development has gone into our internet fulfilment backroom systems. As well as providing online order/stock status information, this also fulfils our clients' customer relationship management (CRM) requirements.
Our complete e-commerce package typically means quicker time-to-market, better cost-efficiency and greater control for e-retailers/e-tailers than is possible through the use of non-asset based (4PL) competitors. The service is supported 24-7 by our in-country IT team.
Contract logistics services for the food and grocery sector include multi-temperature warehousing and distribution, plus cross-docking. We handle ambient, chilled and frozen food and grocery goods, plus beverages, confectionery and fresh produce.
We provide a range of logistics services that create competitive advantage for our food and grocery manufacturing/supply customers including enhanced stock visibility, deferred completion/postponed packaging, consolidated deliveries/collections, and cost-effective rail/intermodal transport. We also offer cost-effective co-packing/contract packing and co-manufacturing/contract manufacturing services for dry food/FMCG merchandise.
We have experience in the design and construction of state-of-the-art ambient and chilled warehouses, as well as cold stores, plus the operation of multi-compartment, multi-temperature vehicles.
